March 24 - "Rocket & Groot" on Teefury

On Monday, March 24, Teefury will be running a "Rocket & Groot" tee - a Guardians of the Galaxy/Calvin & Hobbes parody. The shirt is a collaboration by HULK superfan Steve Yarish and Philly Cartoonist Jeffro Kilpatrick.

Steve is best known for his incredible fandom of the Hulk. He is such a big fan, that Marvel writers and artists named a recurring character after him in the comics. Steve also has a bar from one of the Hulk movies named after him. You can get some background on Steve Yarish in this episode of Fanatical:

Jeffro is a Philly cartoonist and art teacher. Steve approached Jeffro with the idea for Teefury's March Collaboration Challenge. Being a huge fan of Hulk, comics, and Calvin and Hobbes, Jeffro whipped up the design in a few short days.

Starting at Midnight EST, Monday, March 24, go to www.teefury.com to get the shirt for just $11. But after that day, it's gone, gone, gone!

I received a pretty cool mention from abc's pre-Academy Awards show "On The Red Carpet" for some artwork I did for Break.com (I'm also a writer/editor for the site).  Good times!

Got to work on a great project last week. I was asked by Sidewalk Atlas, a local band here in Philly, to design a new t-shirt for them. They asked me if I was interested in doing a fun, post-apocalyptic theme for the image. I said sure, twist my arm!

The design is three colors printed on a purple t-shirt. It may look like the robots are destroying the city for no reason but I prefer to think that they are looking for a lost kitten.

The band is taking orders for the shirt here. You can also check out their new album which is definitely worth a listen (and a purchase) here. For more info visit sidewalkatlas.com

Breath Prowler Miniature

So I've been sculpting miniatures for Mage Company's new Table top game The Amityville Project: Phobos. This guy is one of my favorites I've sculpted so far and he's only 50 mm tall! They just launched a Kickstarter for the game which you can check out Here. The 2D art for the game is phenomenal as well , definitely worth checking out especially if you're fans of D&D or Magic the Gathering.
